The collection and storage of personal data are carried out in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). With regard to the terminology used, such as "processing" or "controller," we refer to the definitions in Article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Definitions

1.1 Personal Data

Data protection concerns the protection of personal data. Personal data are information that can be used to identify a specific person. This includes, for example, the person's name or email address.

1.2 IP Address

An IP address is assigned to an internet connection when connecting to the internet by the internet provider (dynamic IP address). The owner of the internet connection can only be determined with the help of the provider, who only discloses the data based on court orders. In the view of data protection officers, this possibility is sufficient to establish a personal reference (so-called "absolute personal reference"). It is also possible for IP addresses to remain unchanged, in which case they are referred to as "static IP addresses."

2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data

As a rule, we do not store any personal data of the users of our services. However, if there are concrete indications of serious misuse or a violation of our terms of use, we store the following data exclusively from the responsible users for up to 7 days based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR:

  • IP address
  • Browser used
  • Time of access

3. Cooperation with Third Parties and Processors

If we disclose data to other companies or individuals (processors or third parties), transmit it to them, or grant them access to the data in the context of our processing, this is done solely on the basis of a legal permission, if the user has consented, a legal obligation exists, or based on a legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (for example, when using agents, web hosts, etc.). If we commission third parties to process data based on a processing contract, this is always done based on Article 28 GDPR.

4. Disclosure of Personal Data and Usage Data

We are legally obligated to hand over both personal data and other usage data to supervisory authorities, law enforcement agencies, and investigative authorities, if and to the extent necessary for the investigation and/or prosecution of criminal offenses or for the prevention of dangers to public safety. Apart from this, no personal data is disclosed to third parties unless the user has given consent.

5. Security

To protect the personal data of our users against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties, we take appropriate personnel, technical, and organizational measures to ensure data security in accordance with the data protection regulations of Section 9 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) as well as Articles 5 and 32 of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The security measures are continuously adjusted in line with technological developments.

6. Right to Withdraw and Delete Data

Users have the right to withdraw their consent and to have their collected personal data deleted. To do so, a withdrawal request can be sent to the following address:

9. Consent
